Quality - the most important feature of services provided by BDO
At BDO, all activities related to the provision of audit services are performed on the basis of applicable standards, including those relating to quality. Quality is of paramount importance to us as an audit firm and quality objectives are built into our management system and operating strategy.
BDO has a System of Internal Quality Control (ISQC) in place in line with the International Standard on Quality Control (ISQC 1), which is now mandatory for audit firms. We are currently in the process of implementing new quality standards:
- International Quality Management Standard 1 - "Quality management for firms performing audits or reviews of financial statements or engagements of other assurance or related services".
- International Quality Management Standard 2 - "Quality Controls of the Execution of an Assignment".
- International Standard on Auditing 220 (revised) - "Quality management for the audit of financial statements".
The design, implementation and operation of a quality management system in accordance with International Quality Management Standard 1 (ISMS 1) provides a high level of assurance that the engagements performed by BDO are of high quality and comply with applicable laws, regulations, standards and policies. The quality management system is designed to support our firm in fulfilling its obligations to serve the public interest and to achieve its strategic objectives related to quality.
