This is yet another year in a row when BDO confirms its stature amongst audit firms. But this year the awards are spectacular: we are the leader in the category of Most Active Audit Firms on the Stock Exchange. We also took the podium, in 3rd place, in the category of Best Auditor of Listed Companies. And of course we continue to be one of the Best Audit Firms in Poland – we remain in 5th place, right behind other big firms.
- This year’s Ranking results are particularly important for two reasons. The first is the fact that the two dailies evaluated a pandemic year. It was a time of many challenges for the audit sector, but also for our clients, who in many cases expected us to give them different or additional support. The second reason is that 2021 is a special year for BDO as we celebrate our 30th anniversary on the Polish market. Our exceptional success in this year’s Ranking confirms that the year 2020, and all the 30 years of our work, are seen and appreciated. I congratulate all of our Audit Teams. I also thank them for their full dedication to their work, and I thank our clients for the trust they have placed in us – commented Andre Helin, BDO’s Managing Partner.
Edyta Kalińska, the Managing Partner of the Audit Department’s Western Region, stressed the value of the Ranking’s highest marks for BDO’s stock exchange activity and services provided to public companies.
- Since the beginning of its operations BDO has always been active in the introduction of companies to the stock exchange, and in the provision of services to such companies. After all, we took part in the IPO on the Warsaw Stock Exchange of one of the first five listed companies after the fall of communism -– Śląska Fabryka Kabli. The subsequent years were marked by increased activity in these areas. In the 2000s we were the leader in the introduction of companies to the Warsaw Stock Exchange. We can now proudly wear the yellow leader’s jersey for most stock exchange activity, i.e. audit of the highest number of public companies. This is a great gift for our 30th anniversary. It confirms that all those years of work, gathering knowledge and experience translate into excellent client relationships – Edyta Kalińska stressed.

It should also be stressed that this success would not be possible if not for the consistent investments in people and tools that BDO has bet on for many years. Continued raising of qualifications and use of modern client service systems allow us to provide the highest level of service. We are able to offer the wide range of services our clients have come to expect.
Edyta Kalińska also points out that today’s audit is much different from that of a few years back. What matters today is sector specialization and the application of modern tools and systems, which streamline the audit process and make it more precise. The pandemic and the need to work remotely further confirmed that without appropriately prepared Teams and IT tools today’s audit could simply not be performed.
- BDO employs people with specialist knowledge, while appropriate tools support and add to our services. What is more, investments have become an ongoing process at BDO, which allows us to provide our clients with state of the art, highest quality services – adds Edyta Kalińska.
