Safe Company No. 8/2020

28 August 2020

Here is another issue of our “Safe Company” alert. In it you will find information on changes planned to AML regulations, as well as interesting GDPR and cybersecurity related information. In particular we want to draw your attention to the changes relatingto submissions to the Central Register of Beneficial Owners (CRBR), consisting of, among others, the introduction of high penalties for failure to update a submission or for submitting false data. Also noteworthy are the explanations provided by the Office for the Protection of Personal Data (UODO) on the powers of ZUS and PIP inspectors. Amongst the shorter interesting information, please note the UODO’s explanations relating to the posting of information about employee distinctions and the employer’s right to demand confirmation that an employee’s presence at work is legal. We also draw your attention to certain activities of the Ministry of Digital Affairs: a guide on attacks consisting of demanding ransom in exchange for decrypting data in infected computers and consultations on new electronic communications regulations.

As always we wish you a pleasant read, and should you require more or more detailed information, please don’t hesitate to contact our company and experts.
