BS&O: New regulations and explanations from National Labor Inspectorate in connection with coronavirus

19 March 2020

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Sejm has approved a government bill on special solutions to prevent, counteract and combat COVID-19, other infectious diseases, and the resulting crisis situations. Among others, the bill provides that an employer, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, will be able to order an employee to for a specified time perform his/her duties from home (remotely). The bill also introduces regulations that make parents eligible for child care benefits, for a period of no more than 14 days, if they have to take time off work due to closure of the nursery, children’s club, kindergarten or school the child attends. In addition to the passing of the bill, the National Labor Inspectorate has issued explanations on matters related to the coronavirus epidemic.
