Alert BS&O – Special Issue: What changes will Crisis Shield 4.0 bring
16 June 2020
In this issue of our alert we are focusing primarily on the provisions of the Act of 4 June 2020 on contributions to interest on bank loans granted to ensure financial liquidity of businesses affected by COVID-19 (“the Crisis Shield 4.0 Act” or “Shield 4.0”) that was just passed by the Sejm last week. It contains several new regulations important for the operation of companies. In addition, in the alert you will also find a description of the president’s Solidarity Allowance Act, which introduces a special benefit for those who have lost their jobs as a result of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 epidemic. We also discuss an interesting ruling of the Supreme Court on liability for ZUS debt left by a deceased spouse. There is also information on more changes to tax deadlines, which were introduced in both statutory form and in decrees issued by the minister of finance. We wish you a pleasant read and invite you to contact our experts (also by e-mail) to get more detailed information.
