Oslo, 1 July 2006 BDO announces successful conclusion of ambitious merger in Norway BDO Revico, the BDO Member Firm in Norway, has confirmed a merger agreement with the firm Noraudit, previously a member of the MRI network, effective 1 July 2006. The new firm is known as BDO Noraudit. BDO in Norway has experienced significant expansion over the last 6 years: since its inception in Oslo in 2000, and following this successful merger, the number of offices has grown from one to 30, and partners and staff from 32 to 525. The anticipated annual turnover going forward is expected to be approximately NOK 500 million (~EUR 63 million). This will take the firm to fifth position in the national ranking of Norwegian accounting firms, just behind Deloitte and KPMG. Kjetil Rivelsrud, Managing Partner, is confident that the merger affords BDO Noraudit a very good position in the Norwegian market. ‘The combined firm confirms our strategic expansion throughout the country and will enable us to give clients the best possible advice both locally and trans-nationally.
